This project came out of working with Theatre Nomad in Grahamstown South Africa in 1999, where I met some women living in the township and decided to make a project with them. I took portraits of them and they took portraits of their own lives with disposable cameras which were made into collages and with their stories were shown during the Grahamstown Festival in 2001.
